What is a sump? PDF Print

A sump is a separate compartment or container to the main display tank that water flows between. There is no set design or location, it varies with the situation and requirements. They are typically used to hide equipment out of view and increase the system total water volume (which improves system stability). For more detailed information please see Sumps.
