The larger the fridge used to construct this type of chiller, the larger the cooling capacity. So with something like a small bar fridge it wont be able to cool a whole lot. However, that is what I used here and found that it was sufficient to take the edge off the high temperatures the tank was reading at the time. It wasn't able to pull the temperature down far, but was sufficient to stop it going over the 31^oC mark on the occassions it was used.

I no longer use this unit as I have enough fans in position to keep the tank temperature to the correct range. On the hotter and more humid days I simple turn off the metal halide lighting.
